 Chennai’s youth icon Simbu is on a high after the success of his Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. So, who better than him to have as the chief guest at the grand finale of the
Chennai Times Fresh Face 2010 contest? The event, which will be held at Ethiraj College for Women at 6.45 pm today, will see much cheer and fanfare even as the contestants have left no stone unturned to impress the judges.
    Simbu is no stranger to such contests as he believes that talent hunts like this give youngsters a great platform to showcase their talent. As the contestants put
    the final touches for their performances, the actor says that he will be looking for originality and confidence.
    The Chennai Times Fresh Face 2010 contest, powered by itimes.com, has gone through several stages over the last few weeks. The preliminary auditions that covered top colleges in the city had celebrities and Kollywood personalities screening the participants. Following this, the semi-finals had over 80 participants fighting it out to make the final cut. But ultimately, it was just 18 participants who were selected after close scrutiny. These youngsters went through several sessions of grooming, right from personality development to fitness and even a makeover! And, behind the scenes, they have been busy getting their act together as the competition is tight.
